Tank BlueCollar Billionaires #1 eBook M Malone

For the first book of a series, this isn't terrible - except that, of the brothers, only Tank is three-dimensional. I liked Tank, and his mom. I liked Emma, and her sister. The manipulating dad was pretty good. I enjoyed the attraction Emma and Tank share. It was really sweet, careful and respectful. The bad guy was icky (well done).

So the author could write good characters, but didn't bother For The Other Main Characters Of The Series. Big fail. I've read a lot of romance series that are so much better that they leave this one in the dust. I won't bother reading the rest. I'm glad this one in ebook is free, because I'm not done with the bad parts.

There is a serious dearth of commas. I want to donate some. Had she used this to distinguish one character's thoughts, it would be fine. But it is a systemic problem.

I hated the Emma's last scene, and I hated the epilogue. The former's because she's unreasonable, and the latter is because Tank comes off as sexist when he hasn't been before, and because it's a scene with the brothers, and they are all flat.

It's not terrible, but I can't recommend it.

Tank BlueCollar Billionaires #1 eBook M Malone Reviews

Tank is the first of the Blue Collar BIllionaires series and also the first book i have read by Minx Malone in a few months. However, it will not be my last - it is a wonderful start to this series and I am very eager to read the rest.
Editing is very good, nothing stood out as far as typos, grammatical errors, etc. This is a major sticking point for me in that very many editing issues can taint my opinion of a book, no matter how engrossing the story line. This book was clean and very well written.
I love the dual POVs with Tank and Emma. I love the back and forth with the brothers but what blew me away was Tank's love for his mom. All of the supporting characters really added depth to the story. And of course, the relationship between Tank and Poochie... SWOON. I got a feel for Finn and a glimpse of Gabe and Zack. Just enough to make me look forward to their stories.
My wish list for this book a bit longer, a bit more in depth. Other than that, it is a definite 4.5... very close to 5 star read. I will definitely read the other brothers books as they become available. ****4/5WickedGoodStars @wickedgoodblog
I ended up liking the book, but it took a few chapters. This book didn't grab my attention from the beginning, but I stuck with it to see if it got better. It did.

Tank is a former military man. His father reaches out to him. The father that left him when he was eight. The father that had nothing to do with him. The father that has enough money to help Tank and his brother Finn pay for his mother's surgery. All he has to do is agree to go see the man.

Emma lost both of her parents in a horrific home invasion. She had to drop out of veterinary school. She works two jobs. One is for the attorney that represents Tank's father. The other is for a seedy strip club. When Emma befriends Tank's father and he offers her a job, can she handle the job? Money will solve all of her problems, right? Or will it just create more?
“I suck in a breath as he leans closer. Is he going to kiss me now? I like my lips and his eyes immediately go to mouth. Then he leans in closer…”

4 tank stars!! Emotional and sexy!

Tank has anger issues, and he’s trying to keep that anger at bay. And he’s doing a good job of it until his mother is diagnosed with cancer, and his “father” who he hasn’t seen in years is lurking in the shadows. But he’s having a hard time not beating his dad to a pulp. Emma is the only person he can trust and that can calm him down, but with a billion dollar inheritance hanging over his head. Who can he trust???

This book is so much more than I ever thought it was going to be. I was sucked in and touched by Tank’s story. His and Emma’s love story is beautiful and heartwarming. I’m excited to read what’s coming next in the series!!

I really enjoyed this book, which is the first spin off from the Jackson brothers series. One of the things that I love about this book and about the author's books in general is that she writes fully developed, complex characters and although she's written several books in her series, each book is fresh, it's not redundant and the characters are unique, they have their own voice. Sometimes when an author writes a lot of books, he/she starts to develop a 'Type' rather than individual characters and after awhile, the characters become almost interchangeable. Ms. Monroe has managed to keep her characters and the plots new and refreshing!

The only reason I haven't given most of the books in the series 5 stars is I felt she could have played up the multicultural backgrounds of the characters, which I love and THE ENDINGS ARE ABRUPT. Yes, they leave me wanting to read more and yes, the characters are featured in subsequent books but the abrupt endings still leave me feeling like I don't have closure on a couples story.

I still love these books, since I've discovered the books, I've basically been doing a Minx Monroe marathon, basically reading a book/ day. I'm going on to read Finn's story now. Well done!!!
